Let the good times roll!
Offering the right L&D tools is one thing, but knowing when your employees would prefer to work on their personal development can be game-changing! Based on the behaviour pattern of thousands of learners in our learning platform, we can see what day and time they are choosing to learn. On a global level, Wednesdays at 14:00 seems to be the perfect moment! However, when looking a bit closer at each individual country, we can see that there are quite some differences. Users in the Netherlands, Belgium and France prefer Wednesday, whereas in Poland and Portugal prefer Friday.
So, what does this tell us? Research shows that a primary driver for employees to leave their role is that they don’t have (enough) opportunities to learn, develop new skills or they no longer find their work interesting and challenging. Giving your employees the right tools is one thing, but giving them time and room to focus on their personal development is just as crucial. Knowing when your employees want to learn makes it easier to schedule these windows in their work agenda. This won’t only lead to a potential increase in retention rates, but will also help to create a learning culture.

Our worldwide users have countless titles that to choose from, so you’d be missing out if we’d only share the 3 best performers! Next level learning methods.
We know that our Magazines can have your employees binge-reading, and in 2022 it turned out to be no different! This snackable content was by far the most popular amongst our users, being the preferred learning method for 23% of our learners. But our users were doing way more than just reading! In second place we have the learning method ‘Go!’, which shows that 17% of people love a practical approach to learning. This learning format focuses on assignments that’ll give you insight into your own behaviour, and give you the opportunity to apply your new skills right away! Last but not least, the third most popular learning style is ‘Facetime’, as almost 1 out of 10 of our users choose to learn from industry professionals in this short-video learning format.
So, what does this tell us about our user's learning behaviour? Well, clearly everyone learns in a different way. Some are readers, others are watchers, whilst some have a more practical approach. What’s most important is that you, their employer, give them the option to choose!
New year, new me, new (and more) insights!
In 2022 we saw a need for more self-aware employees, so no wonder our course Test Yourself was the most popular one! Gaining more insight into who you are, what motivates you and understanding your strengths and weaknesses, are important stepping stones when working towards your full potential. This is one of the many reasons why we decided to expand our portfolio with online assessments! This new product gave us even more insight into global learning needs:
For many organisations, the pandemic led to changes in where people work, with many employees spending more time working remotely. Because of this, the tools and methods we use to communicate with each other have evolved. This behaviour is also reflected in our users' learning behaviour, and in just a matter of weeks, the usage of our assessment ‘Communication styles – which colour are you?’ more than tripled, making it by far the most-completed assessment. This test gives your employees insight into different communication styles and what theirstrengths and weaknesses are.
Another shift following the pandemic has been a greater focus on mental health, especially in the workplace. Which is also clearly visible in the learning behaviour of our users. Just like communications styles, our assessment ‘Mindfulness - how zen are you?’, tripled in a span of just weeks. This highlighted that getting to grips with your vitality and tackling mental health related topics, either at work or personally, is one of the most important learning trends for the upcoming years.
Please note: Our product online assessments is for now only available in the Dutch market. Over the course of 2023 we will expand into more markets, so keep an eye out!
The future of learning is here.
